04The browser extension
Rust+ hands out access only on Facepunch’s page after a Steam sign-in. The extension takes that access and passes it to Codelock — just as the Rust+ mobile app does.
The extension is in the Chrome Web Store: press the button below, then "Add to Chrome". Edge works the same way: open the same store page and allow extensions from other stores when Edge asks. Reload the Codelock page once it is installed.
- It works only on Codelock’s and Facepunch’s sites — it does not see other pages.
- It keeps no access in the browser: it passes it straight to the server, where it is stored encrypted.
- It is needed only to connect and reconnect Rust+ — after that Codelock works without it, even with the computer off.
